Analysis of sleep status and influencing factors in single center maintenance hemodialysis patients
Objective To investigate the sleep status of maintenance hemodialysis patients and analyze its influencing factors.Methods 148 patients with maintenance hemodialysis in hemodialysis center of our hospital from January 2020 to January 2022 were selected as the research subjects.The patients'sleep status was evaluated by the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)and its influ-encing factors were analyzed through the blood biochemical data of the patients in the past 3 months were retrospectively collected by the general questionnaire.Result Among 148 maintenance hemodialysis patients who received questionnaire survey,130 cases(87.84%)had PSQI score>5 points.The analysis of single factor affecting sleep quality suggested that the sleep quality of mainte-nance-hemodialysis patients was associated with age,dialysis months,dialysis mode,diabetes,hypertension,the calcium-phosphorus product,parathyroid hormone(PTH)and other factors(P<0.05).Multivariate analysis of the significant factors in univariate analysis indicated that advanced age(OR = 9.254,P = 0.000),long dialysis time(OR = 16.930,P = 0.000),diabetes mellitus(OR = 3.283,P = 0.031),and uncontrollable hypertension(OR = 2.561,P = 0.044)might be an independent risk factor affecting the sleep quality of dial-ysis patients.Conclusion Most patients with maintenance hemodialysis have sleep disturbances,and sleep quality may be affected by many factors,including age,dialysis month,dialysis mode,diabetes mellitus,hypertension,calcium-phosphorus product,parathyroid hormone(PTH)and other factors.
