Analysis on the current situation of patients with severe mental disorders in Fuyang City
Objective To understand the management status of patients with severe mental disorders in Fuyang City,and to pro-vide decision-making basis for studying and formulating corresponding prevention and treatment measures and further strengthening the management and treatment of severe mental disorders.Methods The patients with severe mental disorders in Fuyang City by De-cember 31,2020 were derived from the National Information System for Severe Mental Disorders as research objects and the demograph-ic data were statistically analyzed.Results As of December 31,2020,there were 43100 patients with severe mental disorders regis-tered in Fuyang City.The reported prevalence rate was 5.26 ‰,And the ratio of male to female was 1∶1.13,The prevalence rate in women was significantly higher than that in men(χ2 = 5.71,P<0.01);The proportion of young adults aged 18-44 was the highest(41.67%);Mainly rural patients(90.41%);Patients with economic poverty accounted for 54.24%;The educational level was mainly il-literate or semi illiterate(36.76%);The marital status was mainly married patients(65.7%);The occupation distribution is mainly farmers,accounting for 82.84%;The proportion of patients with schizophrenia was the highest(79.64%).Conclusion The social sta-tus and economic status of patients with severe mental disorders in Fuyang City are relatively low.We should improve the mental health service system and network,expand the mental health talent team,and build a mental disorder rehabilitation system to promote the healthy and sustainable development of mental health services in Fuyang City.
