Investigation and analysis of self-reported symptom burden and quality of life in patients with lung cancer undergoing chemotherapy
Objective To explore the self-reported symptom burden and quality of life of patients with lung cancer undergoing chemotherapy,in order to provide reference basis for improving the quality of life of patients.Methods The Chinese version of Ander-son symptom assessment scale and cancer treatment function assessment scale were used,and spss24 0 software,descriptive statistics,exploratory factor analysis,person correlation analysis and multiple stepwise regression were used to explore the self-reported symptom burden and quality of life of lung cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.Results Statistics showed that men accounted for 65.5%,125(50.2%)showed a moderate level of self-awareness of the disease,32.9%of patients could obtain more family support,and 65.4%of patients in cancer stage Ⅲ-Ⅳ.the average score of quality of life of patients with lung cancer was(2.18±0.34).The total average score of self-reported symptom burden and quality of life in patients with lung cancer were negatively correlated with each dimension(P<0.01).The factors affecting the quality of life included the residence of spouses and children,disease stage,the number of chemo-therapy and the degree of influence on daily life.Conclusion Decision makers should strengthen the provision of more humanistic care,drugs and medical security for lung cancer chemotherapy patients,in order to improve the quality of life of lung cancer chemother-apy patients.
