Analysis of the Patent Status and Counter measures of a Third Class Hospital in Xinjiang from 2010 to 2021
Objective To analyze the patent application and authorization status of a third-level hospital in Xinjiang from 2010 to 2021,and to find out some problems existing in intellectual property management,and provide relevant suggestions for the development of this hospital.Methods The hospital patent data from 2010 to 2021 were sorted out and a database was established to analyze the patent application and grant status,distribution of authorized patent types and patent efficiency and distribution of authorized patent grants from 2010 to 2021.Results From 2010 to 2021,1061 patents were applied and 974 patents were authorized.Among the autho-rized patents,utility model patents accounted for 99％,invention patents accounted for 0.7％and design patents accounted for 0.1％.The total effective rate was 74.3％,and the number of invalid patents was 250,which was as high as 25.7％.The top three departments in the number of patent applications were clinical medical center(69 cases),clinical laboratory center(53 cases)and orthopaedic cen-ter(49 cases),and the top three departments in the number of patent authorization were clinical medical center(69 cases),orthopaedic center(49 cases)and laboratory center(40 cases).Conclusion The number of hospital patents applications,the number of patent au-thorizations and the overall level of efficiency are on the rise,but the proportion of non-patent is still large,the quality of patents needs to be further improved,and the conversion rate of patents is very low.It is suggested to strengthen the relevant publicity,enhance the awareness of patent maintenance,and increase training to improve the quality of patent applications.
