Clinical characteristics of 500 patients with pleural TB in Aksu City,Xinjiang during 2019-2022
Objective To analyze the clinical characteristics of 500 patients with pleural TB in Aksu City,Xinjiang from 2019 to 2022.Methods The clinical data of 500 pleural TB patients were analyzed from January 2019 to January 2022,and the epidemiology,clinical characteristics,treatment and follow-up results were analyzed.Results Of the 500 cases,370 cases of pleural tuberculosis,370 cases were male,and only 130 cases(26.00%)were female.There were 220 cases<45 years old,the highest incidence(44.00%).The spring and autumn season was the season of high incidence of diseases,with 408 cases,accounting for 81.60%.Most of them lived in rural areas(388 cases),and the incidence was 77.60%.There were 455 cases(91.00%)with unilateral effusion of pleural effusion,among which 265 cases(53.00%)had unilateral effusion on the left side and 190 cases(38.00%)had unilateral effusion on the right side.In clinical manifestations,cough(483 cases)and fever(451 cases)were the main symptoms,with the incidence of 96.60%and 90.20%;in thoracoscopic pathological features,pleural adhesion(372 cases),pleural thickening(235 cases)and congestion(196 cases)were common,with the incidence of 74.40%,47.00%and 39.20%,respectively.Among the pathological characteristics of pleural bi-opsy,granulomatosis(340 cases)had the highest incidence of 68.00%.Drug induced liver injury occurred in 99 of the 500 patients during treatment,with an incidence of 19.80%(99/500),and Hersher-like reaction occurred in 6 patients,with an incidence of 1.20%(6/500).After 1 year of follow-up,3 cases of pleural tuberculosis recurred,with a recurrence rate of 0.60%(3/500).Con-clusion 500 patients with pleural tuberculosis from 2019 to 2022 in Aksu City,Xinjiang Province,China were mainly male young adults,mostly in spring and autumn,and unilateral exudation of pleural effusion.Clinical diagnosis and treatment can be carried out ac-cording to the clinical manifestations and characteristics of patients.
