The influence of HARRT treatment on perioperative period of patients undergoing abdominal surgery
Objective To investigate the effect of Highly Active Anti-Retroviral Therapy(HAART)on perioperative indexes in patients with Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome(AIDS)undergoing abdominal surgery, and to provide reference for HAART in AIDS patients undergoing abdominal surgery. Methods Collected datum about HIV patients undergoing abdominal surgery, taking HAART regularly or irregularly,in The Eighth Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from January 2019 to January 2022.The differences of operation time, wound healing, exhaust and defecation time, liver and kidney function and other related auxiliary ex-amination indexes under different conditions were collected and analyzed. Results A total of 60 cases were included, including 30 of the regular medication group and 30 of the irregular medication group. The final analysis showed that the postoperative exhaust time, defecation time, albumin before surgery, and albumin at 2 and 7 days after surgery were statistically different between the two groups(P<0.01).Conclusion The preoperative albumin and CD4 contents of HIV patients receiving regular HAART treatment were sig-nificantly better than those of the non-regular medication group.Patients receiving regular HAART treatment had shorter recovery time of gastrointestinal function after surgery, and liver and kidney function was not significantly interfered during perioperative period. There was no significant difference in wound healing between the two groups.
