Genotyping of N-acetyltransferase 2 in tuberculosis patients in Xinjiang
Objective To investigate the polymorphism of N-acetyltransferase 2 gene(NAT2)in tuberculosis patients in Xinjiang. Methods A total of 132 patients diagnosed with pulmonary tuberculosis were included in the study, and NAT2 gene polymorphism was determined by multichannel fluorescence quantitative analyser.c2test was used to compare the genotype distribution differences among all groups, and P<0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results There were 32 fast acetylated patients(24.2%),66 intermedi-ate acetylated patients(50%)and 34 slow acetylated patients(25.8%).There were some differences in NAT2 gene polymorphism of acetylated type between male and female patients, between elderly and non-elderly patients, and between northern and southern Xinji-ang patients, but there was no statistical significance(P>0.05).Conclusion The NAT2 gene polymorphism of tuberculosis patients in our region are mainly intermediate acetylation type, and the distribution of NAT2 gene polymorphism has no significant difference among tuberculosis patients of different genders, ages and regions.
