Study on the value of transesophageal chocardiographic monitoring in paediatric congenital heart disease occlusion
Objective To investigate the value of transesophageal echocardiographic monitoring in paediatric congenital heart dis-ease blocking. Methods Eighty-six children with congenital heart disease who were treated with occlusion in our hospital from Janu-ary 2021 to January 2022 were divided into observation group(n=43)and control group(n=43)using the random number table method. In the observation group,trans-oesophageal echocardiographic monitoring was performed intraoperatively, while in the control group,no trans-oesophageal echocardiographic monitoring was performed intraoperatively. The relevant surgical parameters, success rate of occlusion, incidence of postoperative abnormalities and cardiac function parameters were compared between the two groups. Results In the observation group, the duration of surgery, placement of the blocking device, postoperative ventilator assisted time,ICU stay, postoperative hospital stay and secondary surgery rate were all lower or shorter than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(p<0.05).The rate of successful blockage in the observation group(88.37%)was higher than that in the control group(69.76%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative abnormalities in the observa-tion group(4.65%)was lower than that in the control group(18.60%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Preopera-tively,the differences in ventricular end-diastolic diameter(LVEDD),end-diastolic volume(LVEDV),end-systolic volume(LVESV),output per beat(LVSV)and ejection fraction(LVEF)between the two groups were not statistically significant(P>0.05);postoperatively,the levels of all indicators decreased in both groups, and the observation group was lower than the control group, the difference was sta-tistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The use of transesophageal echocardiographic monitoring in paediatric congenital heart dis-ease occlusion helps to detect and correct intraoperative problems in a timely manner, improve the success rate of the operation and fa-cilitate the recovery of the child's cardiac function.
