The diagnostic value of PI-RADS score based on multi-parameter magnetic resonance imaging in preoperative staging of prostate cancer
Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of multi-parameter magnetic resonance(mp-MRI)based prostate imag-ing reporting and data system(PI-RADS)score in the preoperative stage of prostate cancer. Methods The 102 patients with suspected prostate cancer admitted to the hospital from March 2021 to April 2022 underwent mp-MRI,PI-RADS score was performed on mp-MRI images, and surgical pathology or needle biopsy was performed in parallel. The results of surgical pathology or needle biopsy were regarded as the"gold standard".To analyse the diagnostic efficacy of PI-RADS score of mp-MRI on prostate cancer and preoperative stage. Results 73 of 102 patients with suspected prostate cancer were confirmed by surgical pathology or needle biopsy, accounting for 71.57%,among these,12 cases were in stage A,of the 24 patients in stage B,of the 29 patients in stage C,8 cases in stage D.Accord-ing to the"gold standard"of surgical pathology or needle biopsy examination, the PI-RADS score of mp-MRI had a diagnostic sensitiv-ity of 95.89%(70/73),specificity of 96.55%(28/29)and accuracy of 96.08%(98/102).Moreover,the rate of PI-RADS score for clinical stage of prostate cancer was 93.15%(68/73),It showed excellent agreement with surgical pathology or needle biopsy results(Kappa value=0.901).Conclusion PI-RADS score based on mp-MRI has high diagnostic value for preoperative diagnosis and staging of prostate cancer and is worthy of clinical application.
