Objective To Study and measure the angle between the anterior fat pad and the humeral cortex in standard lateral films of the elbow joint,and to explore the critical value for diagnosing the positive angle of the anterior fat pad sign caused by elbow joint fractures,so as to help orthopedic doctors determine treatment plans.Methods Among the patients with fracture and non-fracture caused by elbow trauma diagnosed by CT examination,50 patients with positive anterior fat pad sign in the lateral X-ray films were se-lected for ROC curve retrospective analysis.Results The angle between the anterior fat pad and the humeral cortex was 15.6°,with the highest sensitivity and specificity value.Conclusion The angle between the anterior fat pad and the humeral cortex≥15.6°is the crit-ical value for fractures,which provides a clear and objective diagnostic basis for orthopedic doctors in grassroots hospitals for treatment.
