Analysis of allergens detection results of 495 patients with atopic dermatitis
Objective To collect the detection results of serum allergens of atopic dermatitis(AD)patients and analyze their distri-bution characteristics. Methods A total of 495 AD patients were retrospectively analyzed for demographic data and allergen detection results[serum total IgE(tIgE)and specific IgE(sIgE)],and statistical analysis was then performed. Results The positive rate of tIgE was 80.61%(399/495),and the difference between male and female patients was not significant(82.89%vs 78.02%,χ2=1.872,P=0.171),and the difference among infant group(0-2 years),children group(3-11 years),youth group(12-18 years)and adults group(>18 years)was significant(77.59%vs 84.76%vs 84.83%vs 67.14%,χ2=12.253,P=0.007).Among inhaled allergens, mugwort had the highest positive rate(21.01%),house dust occupied the second highest(19.60%).Among ingested allergens, egg occupied the highest positive rate(36.16%)followed by milk(33.13%)and wheat flours(22.42%).Among the inhalant allergens, the positive rate of the other inhal-ant allergens was not statistically significant between male and female, except that the male for alternaria was significantly higher than the female, and the positive rate differences of all ingested allergens were not significant. The positive rate differences of inhaled aller-gens among different age groups were significant except for house dust mite, dog hair dander and cockroaches, the positive rate differ-ences of egg, milk and wheat flours in ingested allergens were significant. Conclusions There were significant differences in the posi-tive rates of tIgE and common allergens in AD patients of different age groups, suggesting that the age of patients should be taken into consideration in the detection of allergens, and the detection items should be adjusted accordingly, while different preventive and pro-tective measures should be taken.
