Effect of postoperative Er:YAG laser wound management on the application of ambulatory obstruction of mandibular third molars and wound healing
Objective To investigate the application effect of oral cone beam CT combined with Er:YAG laser wound treatment on impacted mandibular third molar.Method A total of 80 patients with impacted mandibular third molar in our hospital from January 2020 to January 2023 were prospectively selected and randomly divided into two groups,40 cases in each group. Both groups were treated with oral cone beam CT technology, the control group was treated with conventional wound treatment after operation, and the ex-perimental group was treated with Er:YAG laser after operation. The effect difference between the two groups was compared.Result The wound healing rate of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group immediately after operation,3 days after operation and 7 days after operation(P<0.05);The VAS score of the experimental group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05);The proportion of mouth opening limit of 0 degree in the experimental group was higher than that in the con-trol group, and the proportion of moderate and severe cases was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05);The levels of IL-1β and IL-6 decreased and the level of TGF-β increased in both groups 3 days after surgery, and the experimental group was superior to the control group(P<0.05);After treatment, the levels of SBI,GI,PLI and SPD were decreased in both groups, and the experimental group were lower than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of oral cone beam CT and Er:YAG laser post-operative wound treatment can promote wound healing in patients with impacted teeth, reduce pain, improve limited mouth opening, reduce peri-odontal inflammation, and improve gum health.
