Effect of special health education on internal fistula nursing in maintenance hemodialysis patients and its impact on self-management ability
Objective To explore the effect of special health education on internal fistula nursing for maintenance hemodialysis pa-tients and its impact on self-management ability. Methods 84 maintenance hemodialysis patients admitted to our hospital from April 2021 to April 2022 was included in the study. They were divided into two groups using a random number table method, with 42 cases in each group. The control group received traditional nursing intervention, while the observation group received special health education on internal fistula nursing. The health literacy,self-management scores, and incidence of complications between two groups of patients were compared. Results There was no significant difference in the level of health literacy between the two groups of patients before in-tervention(P>0.05),while the observation group had a higher level of health literacy than the control group after intervention(P<0.05).After intervention, the self-management scores of patients in the observation group were higher than the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of internal fistula stenosis, internal fistula infection, and internal fistula aneurysm in the observation group was 4.76%,which was lower than that in the control group, which was 19.05%,and the difference was significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The appli-cation of special health education on internal fistula nursing has a significant effect on the nursing of maintenance hemodialysis pa-tients.The self-management ability and health literacy of patients are significantly enhanced, which can reduce the incidence of com-plications.It can be used for reference and promoted in clinical practice.
