The mediating effect of organizational commitment on performance satisfaction and turnover intention of nurses
Objective To explore the influence of performance satisfaction and organizational commitment on nurses'turnover in-tention,and analyze its impact path,so as to provide reference for reducing nurses'turnover intention.Methods A cross-sectional sur-vey was used in this study.A total of 1715 nurses were investigated by performance satisfaction scale,organizational commitment scale and turnover intention scale.Results The scores of nurses'performance satisfaction,organizational commitment and turnover intention were negatively correlated(r=-0.436,P<0.001).r=-0.371,P<0.001);There was a positive correlation between performance satisfac-tion score and organizational commitment score(r=0.351,P<0.001).Organizational commitment played a partial mediating effect be-tween performance satisfaction and turnover intention,accounting for 19.97%of the total effect.Conclusion The turnover intention of nurses is at a high level.Performance satisfaction and organizational commitment are important factors affecting the turnover intention of nurses,and nursing managers could reduce their turnover intention by increasing performance satisfaction and organizational commit-ment.
