Blood pressure analysis of health examination people in Karamay in 2019
Objective To analyze the distribution of blood pressure in the healthy population based on the 2019 comprehensive health check-up data from Karamay,and to provide scientific recommendations for precise prevention and control by the government.Methods A total of 3887 individuals from the Karamay 2019 health examination population were randomly selected.Health records were reviewed to collect basic information such as gender,age,ethnicity,and blood pressure.The prevalence of abnormalities in blood pressure was compared across different age groups,ethnicities,and genders.Results 1.The prevalence of hypertension in Karamay's health check-up population(18.52%)was significantly lower than the national level(27.9%);2.There were statistically significant dif-ferences in the rates of hypotension and hypertension among different age groups,with hypotension showing a significant decreasing trend and hypertension showing a significant increasing trend with age;3.There are statistically significant differences in the rates of hypotension and hypertension among different ethnicities,with the highest hypertension rate in the Han ethnic group(20.00%)and the highest hypotension rate in the Kazakh ethnic group(9.8%);4.There are statistically significant differences in the rates of hypotension and hypertension between genders,with a notably higher rate of hypertension in males than in females,and a higher rate of hypotension in females than in males.Conclusion Compared to previous hypertension rates in Karamay and the national level,significant progress has been made in the prevention and control of hypertension in Karamay.Future hypertension prevention and control efforts should fo-cus on the population aged 45 and above,males,and the Han and Kazakh ethnic groups.Attention should be given to the Kazakh and Uyghur ethnic groups,the population under 35,and females in terms of hypotension management.
