Analysis about the effects of interferon nebulization therapy on adverse reactions and outcomes in children with acute upper respiratory tract infection
Objective To explore the clinical effect of interferon nebulization therapy on children with acute upper respiratory tract infection. Methods From January 2022 to March 2023,a total of 90 children with acute upper respiratory tract infection were admitted to our hospital were selected into this research, and all cases were divided into two groups by odd-even number table method,45 chil-dren in the control group received conventional treatment, while 45 children in the observation group received interferon α 1b atomiza-tion treatment. The clinical effects between the two groups were compared. Results Statistical value of the total clinical response rate in the observation group was 95.56%,which was higher than 82.22%in the control group(P<0.05).The symptom recovery time in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group(P<0.05).Before treatment, there were no differences in hs-CRP,TNF-α,IL-4,and IL-6 levels between the two groups(P>0.05).Seven days post-treatment,the levels of hs-CRP,TNF-α,IL-4,and IL-6 in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Before treatment, there were no differences in CD3+,CD4+,and CD8+levels between the two groups(P>0.05).Seven days post-treatment,CD3+and CD4+levels in the observation group were higher, while CD8+levels were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the observa-tion group was 2.22%,significantly lower than the 8.88%in the control group(P>0.05).Conclusion During the clinical treatment of children with acute upper respiratory tract infection, aerosol inhalation of interferon α1b can promote the resolution of symptoms as soon as possible, and can also significantly reduce the level of inflammatory factors, improve the level of T lymphocyte subgroups, and reduce the occurrence of adverse reactions, which is worthy of recommendation and application.
