Clinical study of minocycline hydrochloride sustained-release agent combined with Cortisonol root canal filling in the treatment of retrograde pulpitis
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of minocycline hydrochloride(MH)combined with Cortisomol paste for root canal filling in Retrograde pulpitis(RP).Methods 80 RP patients in our hospital were selected from January 2020 to December 2022,and randomly divided into control group(40 cases with 40 affected teeth)and MH group(40 cases with 40 affected teeth).Control group was treated with conventional root canal therapy,MH group was treated with MH combined with Cortisomol paste. The therapeutic ef-fect,inflammatory factors[C-reactive protein(CRP),Interleukin-4(IL-4),Interleukin-17(IL-17)],Visual Analog Scale(VAS),peri-odontal status indicators[attachment loss(AL),plaque index(PLI),gingival index(GI)]and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the MH group was 95.00%(38/40),which was higher than 77.50%(31/40)of the con-trol group(P<0.05).After treatment,CRP,IL-4,IL-17,VAS score,AL,PLI and GI in the study group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in adverse reactions between 2 cases(5.00%)in MH group and 5 cases(12.50%)in control group(P>0.05).Conclusion Root canal filling with MH combined with Cortisomol paste had significant effect on RP,which could reduce periodontal inflammation, reduce pain index, improve AL,PLI,GI and other indexes, with good safety.
