Outcome analysis of PGT-A treatment for ageandrecurrent miscarriage
Objective To analyse the pregnancy outcome of preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidies(PGT-A)in patients with ageand recurrent spontaneous abortion(RSA).Methods 129 patients with RSA attending the Reproductive Medicine Center of our Hospital from June 2021 to June 2023 were selected,of which 65 were in the PGT-A assisted conception group and 64 were in the con-ventional IVF/ICSI assisted conception group.Baseline data, ovulation results, embryonic development, and clinical pregnancy out-comes were compared between the two groups, and embryonic chromosomal aneuploidy detection in the PGT-A group was analyzed by second-generation sequencing(NGS)technology.Application of second-generation sequencing(NGS)technology to detect the chromo-somal situation of PGT-A group embryos and analyse the results of the test. Results There was no statistically significant difference be-tween the baseline data and ovulation results of the two groups(P>0.05),the rate of blastocyst formation and high-quality blastocyst for-mation in the PGT-A group was higher than that of the conventional group(P<0.05),and the clinical pregnancy rate was higher than that in the conventional group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05),and early miscarriage rate was lower than the conven-tional group with no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).The chromosome euploidy rate of embryos in the PGT-A group was 45.25%,the euploidy rate was higher in patients with age<35 years old than in patients with age≥35 years old, with a statistically sig-nificant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion PGT-A fertilization in RSA patients can significantly increase the clinical pregnancy rate,re-duce the rate of spontaneous abortion, and improve fertility outcome.
