Abstract
Objective To analyze the influencing factors of blood drug concentration in patients with depression treated with sertra-line.Method A retrospective analysis was conducted on 106 depression patients admitted to the Second People's Hospital of Zhumadi-an City from March 2020 to August 2022.All patients received continuous treatment with sertraline for 4 weeks.Based on the average blood concentration of the patients over the fourth weekend of treatment, they were divided into a normal sertraline concentration group(n=65)and an abnormal sertraline concentration group(n=41).General information and clinical indicators of the patients were collect-ed,Logistic regression analysis was used to investigate the influencing factors of blood drug concentration in patients with depression af-ter treatment with sertraline. Results Sertraline plasma concentration in patients with normal sertraline plasma concentration and pa-tients with abnormal sertraline plasma concentration had no significant difference in hypertension, diabetes, and serum creatinine(P>0.05).Sertraline plasma concentration in patients with normal sertraline plasma concentration and patients with abnormal sertraline plasma concentration had significant difference in gender, age, liver function, and course of disease(P<0.05).Logistic regression analy-sis showed that gender(OR=4.047),age>25 years old(OR=2.206),abnormal liver function(OR=2.680),and course of disease≥six months(OR=2.768)were all independent factors affecting abnormal sertraline blood concentration(P<0.05).Conclusion Gender, age, course of disease, and liver function are all factors that affect the blood concentration of sertraline in patients with depression.
