The value of first-pass effect of microcatheter in the diagnosis of intracranial atherosclerotic artery occlusion
Objective Study on the specificity and sensitivity of microcatheter first-pass effect in large vessel occlusion with intra-cranial atherosclerotic stenosis. Methods A case-control study was conducted to select 60 patients with acute large vessel occlusion stroke from July 2021 to December 2022.They were divided into ICAS group and cerebral embolism group. The microcatheter first-pass effect was determined before emergency neurointerventional treatment, and the specificity and sensitivity of microcatheter first-pass ef-fect in ICAS large vessel occlusion were evaluated. Results The sensitivity of microcatheter first-pass effect for detecting ICAS large vessel occlusion was 81.3%,specificity was 82.1%,positive predictive value was 83.9%,negative predictive value was 79.3%,and accu-racy was 81.7%.Conclusion Microcatheter first-pass effect can be used as a reliable sign to indicate ICAS large vessel occlusion.
