Evaluation on the effect of diabetes professional knowledge training and quality control for non specialist nurses
Objective To evaluate the effect of diabetes professional knowledge training and quality control for non specialist nurs-es.Methods A total of 82 non-specialist nurses from a top-three hospital were selected for training practice and quality control in stag-es,and 58 nursing units of the hospital were assessed every quarter with the application of diabetes specialist evaluation indicators to standardize the management and quality control of operational instruments in the non-endocrinology department of the hospital.At 3 months,6 months,9 months and 12 months before and after the training,the level of diabetes knowledge and diabetes specialty manage-ment of non-specialist nurses before and after the training practice was evaluated,as well as the completion and compliance of diabetes specialty indicators in non-endocrinology departments of the hospital.Results Throughtraining practice and quality control assessment,the mastery level of specialized knowledge and management behavior of non specialized nurses in the entire hospital has significantly improved compared to before training,with statistical differences(P<0.05).The management of blood glucose meter,the rate of reach-ing the standard in the work manual of non specialist nurses,and the awareness rate of diabetes patients on the time and method of tak-ing hypoglycemic drugs were higher than before,with statistical differences(P<0.01,(P<0.05)).Conclusion The phased training has a significant effect on improving the diabetes knowledge and specialized management level of non endocrine nurses.The quality control of diabetes specialized indicators in the whole hospital is conducive to the control,assessment and continuous improvement of diabetes specialized nursing quality,and standardizes the specialized quality of diabetes specialized nurses in non endocrine departments in the whole hospital.
