The Influence of Different Gender Ratio Background and Mate Resources on Working People's Mate Preference
This study used the allocating-mate-dollars paradigm to examine the influence of gender ratio background and mate resources on the mate preferences of working people. The results showed that:(1)When working people had more mate resources, the sex ratio had less influence on their mate preferences;(2)Regardless of their environment, love was a necessity for people in the workplace when choosing a spouse, while future income prospects were a luxury;(3)When people in the workplace face a gender disadvantage in spouse selection, their preferences for a spouse also included kindness, loyalty, and good health. The research showed that the mate preferences of working people were influenced by both internal and external factors.
