The Effect of Social Mindfulness on College Students'Subjective Well-being:A Moderated Mediation Model
This study aimed to investigate the relationship between social mindfulness and subjective well-being of college students,as well as the mediating role of basic psychological needs and moderating role of perceived social support.A convenience sampling method was used to conduct the survey among 1300 college students, using the Social Mindfulness Self-Report Scale, the Basic Psychological Needs Scale, the Perceived Social Support Scale and the Well-Being Index Scale. The results showed that:(1)Social mindfulness was positively correlated with subjective well-being;(2)Basic psychological needs played a partially mediating role in social mindfulness and subjective well-being;(3)Perceived social support played a moderating role in the relationship between social mindfulness and both subjective well-being and basic psychological needs. The findings of this study can provide theoretical basis for cultivating college students'social mindfulness and subjective well-being.
