Study on Analysis of Volatile Oil of Elsholtzja saxatjljs by GC-MS and Its Efficacy Test
The volatile oil of Elsholtzia saxatilis was obtained by steam distillation from its flower stem and leaf,and its chemical constituents were analyzed by GC-MS combined with Kovats index,among which,55 peaks were separated,and 29 components with relative peak area percentage higher than 0.1 % were identified,which accounted for 98.47% of the total GC peak area.The results showed that they were alcohols,terpenoids,aliphatic compounds and a small amount of aldehyde com-pounds,etc.On the other hand,the results of efficacy test,including antioxidant and antibacterial activity of the volatile oil, showed that it had a certain degree of antioxidant and antibacterial ability.This study may provide scientific basis for further development and utilization of Elsholtzia saxatilis .
