Study on the Extraction Process for Betulin and Its Antibacterial Performance
The subcritical extraction method was used to prepare the Betulin, which provided theoretical and technological basis for exploring the new activity of Betula platyphylla Suk. extract and broadening its application range. Single factor test was used to study the influence of pressure, solid - liquid ratio, extraction temperature and extraction time on the yield of Betulin, the optimum extraction conditions were determined. It was shown when the pressure of subcritical water extraction was 6 MPa, extraction temperature was 130 ℃, liquid - solid ratio (mL/g) was 40 and the extraction time was 12 min, the yield of Betulin was the highest with 30.884 mg/g. It was proved that subcritical water extraction method could be used in the extraction of Betulin and study of its antibacterial performance.
