Anti-Inflammatory Effect of Panax Notoginseng Saponins Combined with Portulaca Oleracea Polysaccharide
To investigate the synergistic anti-inflammatory effects of Panax notoginseng saponins(PNS)and Portulaca oleracea polysaccharide(POP)at different dosage concentrations.PNS(1,5,25,125 μg/mL)and POP(2,10,50,250 μg/mL)were respectively combined in pairs at different concentrations, and 100 μg/mL dexamethasone was used as a positive control. The inhibition rate of TNF-α of 16 combinations was studied, and the interaction of the two components was quantitatively evaluated by the synergy score system.PNS at 125 μg/mL combined with POP at 50 μg/mL or 250 μg/mL effectively suppressed TNF-α production, and the inhibitory rates were 45.18%and 61.42%respectively.The inhibitory effect was not significantly different from that of dexamethasone 100 μg/mL(53.17%)(P>0.05).Synergy scores were 15.58 and 26.44,respectively.It was suggested that 125 μg/mL PNS combined with 50 μg/mL or 250 μg/mL POP could synergically inhibit the production of TNF-α,but the other 14 lower dose combinations only showed the additive effect.
