Simultaneous Determination of Eight Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug Components in Cosmetics by High Performance Liquid Chromatography
A high performance liquid chromatographic(HPLC)method was developed for the simultaneous determination of 8 non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug components in cosmetics. The samples were ultrasonically extracted by a mixed solution of methanol-water(containing 0.2%acetic acid in mass fraction)at the ratio of 8:2 in volume, then filtered.Separation was conducted on a SunFire C18 column(250 mm×4.6 mm×5 μm)with gradient elution of 20 mmol/L ammonium acetate(containing 0.2%acetic acid in mass fraction)and methanol, and the detection wavelength was 230 nm.The results showed that the linearity of the 8 components was good in their respective mass concentration ranges with the correlation coefficients(R2)greater than 0.999 5,and the limits of detection ranged from 0.5 to 10.2 mg/kg.The average recoveries of the 8 components ranged from 90.9%to 108.2%at 3 different spiked levels with the relative standard deviations less than 5%.The method has simple and rapid sample pretreatment, suitable for the simultaneous determination of various non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug components in cosmetics.
