Foam properties of sophorolipid mainly in acidic form(HA),sophorolipid mainly in lactonic form(HL),and rhamnolipid under different physicochemical conditions,and their synergistic effect with amino acid surfactant,sodium cocoyl alaninate(ACS)on foam properties were investigated,respectively.Sophorolipids showed low-foaming properties,among which HA had a higher foam ability than HL.Foam ability of sophorolipids was almost not influenced by pH or water hardness.Sophorolipids,especially HL,improved foam stability and increased bubble count per mm2 of ACS,generating better foam.Foam ability of rhamnolipid was higher than that of sophorolipids,pH and water hardness had little influence on it.Rhamnolipid improved foam stability of ACS.Sophorolipids and rhamnolipids can be utilized for the design of cleaning products in order to optimize the foam performance according to practical needs.
