Synergistic Effect of a Seaweed Composition and PCA Calcium to Ameliorate Skin Sensitivity
Cultured keratinocytes in vitro were used to evaluate the synergistic effects of the composition of seaweed extract combined with calcium pidolate(PCA calcium)on soothing and improving skin barrier function by detecting the contents of capsaicin receptor(TRPV1)and tumor necrosis factor(TNF-α)and measuring the effect of the composition on cell proliferation. The results showed that the composition could significantly inhibit the expression of TRPV 1 and TNF-α.The inhibition rate on TRPV1 was 82.25%,and the inhibition rate on TNF-α was 42.58%,exhibiting a significant synergistic effect. The composition could significantly increase the proportion of healthy cells. In summary, the composition of seaweed extract and PCA calcium has a synergistic effect on soothing and improving the skin barrier.
