Preparation of Oligosaccharide Extract from Lessonia Nigrescens and Its Anti-inflammatory and Anti-photoaging Activities
Oligosaccharide extract(AIV1)was prepared from Lessonia nigrescens by step-by-step extraction strategy.AIV1 had a relative molecular mass of approximately 8 000,with a uronic acid relative content of 63.64%,and its monosaccharide composition was primarily composed of ManA and Gal.Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)and nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)were utilized to characterize its structure.AIV1 had no significant toxicity to mouse monocyte-macrophages(RAW264.7)cells and human skin fibroblasts(HSF)cells.AIV1 could significantly reduce the excessive release of nitric oxide(P<0.01)in lipopolysaccharide-induced RAW264.7 cells,down-regulate the overexpression of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α,P<0.01)and interleukin-1β(P<0.05)mRNA,and inhibit the excessive release of reactive oxygen species(ROS)in long wave ultraviolet(UVA)-damaged HSF cells(P<0.05).Therefore,AIV1 exhibited good anti-inflammatory and anti-photoaging activities, suggesting its potential as a natural ingredient for the development of anti-inflammatory and anti-photoaging functional cosmetics.
