Healthy skin relies on the barrier protection provided by sebum,and the composition reflects the state of the skin.The composition of sebums varies among different skin types,and it also changes significantly in the same skin type under different health conditions.The sebum characteristics of different skin types,according to skin classification,basic composition and function of among sebum,and the differences in sebum composition among different skin types were systematically reviewed in this paper.The importance of considering the sebum characteristics of different skin types during the development of skin care cosmetics were highlighted also,to provide guidance for precision skin care.
