The main causes of hair loss in young women,including family genetic history,changes in hair microenvironment,nutritional deficiency hair loss,hair loss caused by hormones or other diseases,as well as unhealthy lifestyles were reviewed in this paper.Then,several hair loss grading methods for females,including overall hair density assessment,Ludwig grading method,and Sinclair grading method were summarized.The medicines,traditional Chinese herbal extracts with anti-hair loss effects,and new anti-hair loss daily chemical raw materials were inroduced,aiming to provide the theoretical guidance for the research of novel anti-hair loss cosmetics.
