Transdermal Performance and Soothing Efficacy of Tetrandrine Flexible Liposome
The flexible liposome with high content(mass fraction 2.0%)of tetrandrine was prepared by the high pressure homogenization technique. The effects of mass ratio of tetrandrine to lecithin on entrapment efficiency and storage stability were studied. The results showed that the extent of encapsulation increased firstly and then decreased later as the increase of mass ratio of tetrandrine to lecithin. The liposomes produced with the mass ratio of lecithin, tetrandrine, cholesterol, and caprylic/capric triglyceride of 20:10:1:40 showed an encapsulation rate of 84.5%,an average particle size of 203.8 nm,a PDI of 0.2,and a zeta potential of 0.44 mV.In addition, the results of transdermal performance test and cosmetic soothing efficacy test of tetrandrine flexible liposome showed that the transdermal and soothing performance of tetrandrine flexible liposome was significantly better than that of the non-liposome-encapsulated tetrandrine solution.
