Exploration and Practice of a New Mode of Banned Antibiotics Screening in Cosmetics
A method of ultra-performance liquid chromatography-high resolution mass spectrometry(UPLC-ESI-Q-TOF/MS)matching database screening for detecting banned antibiotic components in cosmetics was established.A compound database, for antibiotics that may be added in cosmetics, was established. All compounds were classified according to their structural characteristics, sorted by their oil-water partition coefficients(log P value),and representative substances were selected to form a compound set to develop the UPLC-ESI-Q-TOF/MS analysis method.Sample screening is performed by the first-and second-degree precise mass number of the mass spectrometry in comparison to standards, while quantification is based on the first-degree mass response. The method is fast and efficient, and can quickly complete the rapid screening of 296 antibiotics from ten categories in cosmetics, even in the absence of 90%of the controls.
