With the burgeoning development of positive psychology,numerous people are devoted to fulfill-ing human's potential and creating a good life.However,the dichotomous conceptions of hedonism and eu-daimonism limit people's understanding and pursuit of other forms of a good life.Distinguished from the traditional types of a good life,psychological richness is defined by various,interesting,complex,chal-lenging and perspective changing experiences.At the same time,it pays equal attention to positive and negative emotions instead of overestimating the importance of positive feelings.As a result,a psychological-ly rich life is associated with curiosity,holistic thinking style and openness to experience.Apart from ex-plaining the definition,measures,functions,and consequences of psychological richness,we present the review of the previous research and future directions according to Chinese culture and its current society.
