Objective To explore the correlation of mean platelet volume (MPV) and platelet / lymphocyte ratio (PLR) with the severity of coronary artery stenosis (CAS).Methods A total of 315 patients with suspected coronary heart disease (CHD) to receive treatment in our hospital were selected as research subjects and all received MPV and PLR detection. According to the existence of CHD and the severity of CAS, the MPV and PLR detection results were analyzed and the correlation with the severity of CAS was considered. Results There were significant differences in age, history of hypertension, history of diabetes, and comparison between MPV and PLR among the patients with CHD and the non-CHD ones (P < 0.05). Single factor analysis between the low Gensini score group(n=90) and the high Gensini score group(n=95 ) showed that the age, history of hypertension, history of diabetes, hyperlipidemia, and MPV and PLR could all cause increase in Gensini scores (P < 0.05); Multi-factor analysis showed that MPV and PLR were the independent risk factors causing increase in Gensini scores. Conclusion MPV and PLR are correlated with CHD, and this is of highvalue in the prediction of CAS.
