Preparation and Properties of Multi-walled Carbon Nanotubes Hybrid Modified Styrene-Divinylbenzene Copolymer Carrier
Pt/SDB hydrophobic catalyst with styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer(SDB)as the carrier is an important material for hydrogen-water liquid-phase catalytic exchange(LPCE)technology. In order to solve the problems of poor hydrophobicity and low strength of the SDB carrier,multi-walled carbon nano-tubes(MWCNTs)modified by silane coupling agents such as KH570,KH560 and KH550 were hybridized to modify the SDB carrier. The results show that the water contact angle of the SDB carrier modified by hybridization is increased by more than 20°,and the compressive strength is 1.6-3.8 times that of the SDB carrier. The initial thermal decomposition temperature of thermogravimetric analysis increases by 4.6-15.8 ℃.Among them,MWCNTs treated with KH570 contains double bonds, which can realize ternary copolymerization with styrene and divinylbenzene, and the doping is uniform. The hybrid modified SDB carrier has the best effect.
