Preparation and Seasonal Adaptability of Paraffin/Expanded Graphite Composite Shaped Phase Change Materials
Through the melt mixing process, five different ratios of composite shaped phase change materials were prepared. The main phase change material was paraffin combined with white oil,and the carrier material was expanded graphite with various mass fractions. The optimal ratio of composite shaped phase change materials was identified through adsorption performance and thermophysical performance tests.Numerical simulation method was used to study the adaptability of the composite shaped phase change material in winter and summer. The results show that the ideal composition of composite shaped phase change materials is 7%expanded graphite and 93%composite phase change paraffin. The mass ratio of 52#slice paraffin to 3# white oil in composite phase change paraffin is 55∶45.Phase change temperature is 27.5 ℃,latent heat of phase change is 83.56 J/g,mass loss rate is 2.12%,and thermal conductivity is 0.531 6 W·m-1·K-1.When used as a building facade material, composite shaped phase change materials can smooth out peak and valley heat flows, reduce indoor temperature fluctuations, and be more adaptable in summer than in winter.Paraffin/expanded graphite composite shaped phase change materials are expec-ted to be used as building thermoregulation phase change materials for hot summer and cold winter regions.
