A Study on the Foundation,Connotation,and Path of Building China into a Financial Powerhouse
After decades of reform and opening-up,China's modern financial system is gradually maturing,and substantial progress has been made in the construction of financial markets,the development of financial insti-tutions and the reform of financial regulation.The status of international financial centers such as Shanghai and Hong Kong has been steadily elevated,and the financial elements for building a financial powerhouse are already in place.This article believes that building a modern financial system and building a financial powerhouse is a long-term development process.It should not only be in line with China's national characteristics and specific practices,respect the laws of economic and financial development,but also draw on the experience and lessons of foreign financial development to accurately grasp the uniqueness of China's unique financial development path.This article puts forward the core issues of financial power with a problem oriented approach,explains the main connotations and basic principles of building China into a financial powerhouse,proposes the practical logic of building China into a financial powerhouse from the perspective of international comparison,then analyzes the fea-sibility of building China into a financial powerhouse from three dimensions including a solid economic founda-tion,a complete institutional guarantee,and a sound financial system,and explores the uniqueness of building Chi-na into a financial powerhouse.Finally,this paper puts forward the path suggestions for the construction of a finan-cial power,namely,focusing on accelerating the construction of a modern financial system with Chinese character-istics,striving to promote the modernization of financial governance,continuously improving the quality and effi-ciency of financial services to the real economy,and steadily advancing the high level of financial openness.This paper emphasizes that the construction of a financial powerhouse is a systematic project.Based on the path of fi-nancial development with Chinese characteristics,it is fundamentally different from the Western model.It should not only match the characteristics of Chinese path to modernization,but also be rooted in the financial culture with Chinese characteristics.It should continue to promote the construction of a modern financial system and a finan-cial powerhouse from the perspective of laying the foundation,promoting the long-term and consolidating the foun-dation.
