Based on summarizing both international and domestic research methodologies , and the advances in biomass models application, the impact factors, the difficulties in the relevant research and the development tend ency for forest biomass study were analyzed respectively. It was indicated that the biomass models integrated with varied advanced technologies and the forest biomass at different scales were the relevant study trend.
