Experience and Enlightenment of Nature Education in Foreign College Botanical Gardens
On the basis of elaborating on the connotation,function,and development trend of natural educa-tion,this article selects 5 foreign university botanical gardens,namely Oxford University Botanical Garden,Cam-bridge University Botanical Garden,University of California Botanical Garden,Leighton University Botanical Gar-den,and Wellesley University Botanical Garden,and analyzed the characteristics of university botanical gardens in terms of site overview,internal site design,and natural education activity design,and explored the commonalities and individuality of spatial layout,landscape planning,and activities among the 5 university botanical gardens.Based on the development status of university botanical gardens in China,this article proposes strategic suggestions such as updating the campus landscape of university botanical gardens,optimizing natural education courses using subject characteristics,and Improving operational systems by adopting modern information technology platforms,so as to provide reference for the development of natural education in university botanical gardens in China.
