The Impact of Fintech on the Efficiency of the Green Economy
Based on the panel data of 41 prefecture-level cities in the Yangtze River Delta from 2011 to 2021,the two-way fixed effect model and chain intermediary effect model were used to analyze the impact of financial technology on the efficiency of the green economy.The results show that fintech reduces information asymmetry,al-leviates financing constraints,encourages enterprises to carry out technological innovation,and improves the effi-ciency of the green economy.Fintech promotes the rational allocation of resources,promotes the transformation and upgrading of enterprises,optimizes the industrial structure,and improves the efficiency of the green economy;the impact of financial technology on the efficiency of the green economy has the chain intermediary effect of'financial technology-technological innovation-industrial structure optimization';the impact of financial technology on the green economy efficiency is regional heterogeneity,manifested in the decreasing degree of promotion to Anhui,Jiangsu and Zhejiang.Accordingly,we should strengthen the construction of fintech infrastructure,explore the multi-dimensional path of fintech's role in green economic efficiency,and formulate development strategies suitable for the region to promote the development of fintech further to improve the efficiency of the green economy.
