Study on Germination Characteristics of Sequoia sempervirens Seeds
The effects of different temperature and light, disinfection, soaking temperature and 3 kinds of exogenous growth regulator ( GA3, 6-BA, NAA) on seed germination of Sequoia sempervirens were studied in this paper. The results showed that the germination effect was better than others with 25 ℃ to 15 ℃ under the conditions of full light. Disinfection of 0.1 % KMnO4 for 12 h and 1 % NaClO for0. 5 h could promote germination significantly. The result indicated that the best soaking temperature was 45 X.. Exogenous growth regulator to promote seed germination Sequoia sempervirens was not obvious. 500 mg/L GA3 could promote germination. 6-BA and NAA showed inhibitory effect on the germination, and the inhibitory effect of NAA was better than that of 6-BA.
