Isolation and Inoculation Effect of Dark Septate Endophytes (DSE) from Sugarcane Rhizosphere
Ten DSE strains were isolated from eight main sugarcane production areas of Gaungxi. The neighbor-joining phylogenetic tree was produced based on sequences of the 28S rDNA gene D1/D2 region of the 10 strains and the related sequences from the GenBank. The results showed that 10 isolates could be divided into three groups in the phylogenetic tree.Four isolates were clustered with Cladospodum sp.,Phoma sp.,Lophiostoma sp.and Emericella sp.at the support rate of 68%.Five isolates were grouped with Conlarium sp.,Cercophora sp.and Schizothecium sp.at the support rate of 84% and one isolate was clustered with Phialocephalafonini with the support rate of 100%.All of the isolates showed no pathogericity to sugarcane seedling in vitro. The average biomass of seven isolates was higher than that of the control, and two highest isolates were selected to inoculate with pot seedlings. The average height, stalk width, fresh weight and biomass of the inoculated pot seedlings were higher than those of the control.
