Study on Employing Honeybees for Pollination of Self-incompatibility of Chinese Cabbage to Increase Seed Yield
Employing self-incompatibility of Chinese cabbage system materials CCR12049 and CCR12081 for honeybee pollination experiment for three consecutive years in Xundian breeding base, the effects of yield and quality on self-incompatibility of Chinese cabbage were studied. The results showed that the ideal number of honeybees was a box of four spleen bee in 200 m2breeding shed, and the yield was 4.89 kg.Compared with the natural pollination, the artificial pollination and no bee pollination, the rate of full pod of honeybee pollinate was increased by 18.16 %,24.63 % and 84.66 %,respectively, and the grain number of each pod was increased by 1.35,1.24 and 4.22 times.Compared with no bee pollination, the weight of 1000-seed and the germination rate of the honeybee pollination were increased by 1.36 times and 2.36 % respectively.Using honeybee for pollination the yield of self-incompatibility of Chinese cabbage was increased by 1.8-12.2 times. Therefore employing honeybees to pollinate of self-incompatibility of Chinese cabbage is an important measure to increase the yield of seed and to improve the seed quality.
