Effect of Different Salt-affected Soils on Biological Characteristics of Pennisetum sp.
In this trail,the effects of different salt-affected soils on the biological characteristics of Penniserum sp.at the edge of Ulanbuh desert in Alax prefecture of Inner Mongolia were studied.The remits showed that:The germination rate and seedling rate of Pennisrtum sp.significantly increased with the growing of sand content of salt-affected soils (P < 0.05),and there were significant effeets on the tiller of plant,the amount,width and length of leaf(P <0.05),but not on the height of plant.The higher the sand content of salt-affected soils was,the looser the soil was; The more the root system of Pennistum sp.developed,the more the number of cneaure undergrmnd increased,but there were serious soil and fertilizer loe,rig,which cause the less number of creatme on ground.The result indicated that Pennistum sp.had a certain adaptive ability on salt-affected soils,which provided a scientific basis for the future use of Pennisaum sp.in improving salt-affected mils.
