Butterfly Fauna in Beiling Mountain of Zhaoqing in Guangdong Province
[Objective] In the present paper,the butterfly fauna of Beiling Mountain was studied,and the similarity comparison of butterflies in Beiling Mountain and several other regions in Guangdong Province was analyzed.[Method] The system surveys of butterfly were collected in that area from 2000 to 2015.[Result]There were 140 species of butterflies belonging to 10 families and 75 genera in that area,of which 20 species belonged to Papilionidae,16 to Pieridae,13 to Danaidae,1 to Amathusiidae,20 to SatyTidae,41 to Nymphalidae,1 to Acraeidae,7 to Riodinidae,14 to Lycaenidae,and 7 to Hesperiidae.Among them,4 species were new records to Guangdong,9 species were endemic species of China and 4 species were protection species of China.The Oriental species appeared to be predominant,accounting for 64.29 % of the total species.In the present research,the neotropicaJ species were not collected.The butterfly composition between Beiling Mountain and Dinghu Mountain Nature Reserve was similar and the sorensen index was 0.63,the sorensen index to Shenzhen area was 0.51 and the sorensen index to Shimentai Nature Reserve was 0.45.[Conclusion]The butterfly resources in Belling Mountain were richer,so the protection of value species,the prevention and control of harmful species and the reasonable development and utilization of ornamental species should be strengthened.
