Investigation and Evaluation of Medicinal Plant Resources at Gucheng District in Lijiang City
[Objective] The resources of medicinal plants at Gucheng district in Lijiang city were studied in the present paper.[Method] The wild medicinal plants,key medicinal plants,cultivated medicinal plants,traditional knowledge and market of medicinal plants in the work area were investigated.[Result] The Gucheng district had 678 species of medicinal plants,belonging to 142 families and 430 genera including 3 species,2 families of fungi,3 species,2 families of lichens,20 species,11 families of ferns,15 species,6 families of gymnosperms,637 species and 121 families of angiosperms.According to its medicinal functions divided into 16 classes,including for clearing away heat and relieving exterior syndrome of medicinal plants up to 31.7 ％,for cooling blood and arresting type accounted for 20.9 ％,for suppressing hyperactive liver and for calming endogenous wind only 0.3 ％.[Conclusion] As for as genera composition,the medicinal plants of Gucheng district have high dominant families and diversity.Gucheng district has a certain number of rare and endangered plants at the national and provincial levels.The present research can provide reference for the development and protection of medicinal plants at Gucheng district.
