An Action Research on Peasant Collective Action from the Perspective of Constructivism:An Investigation of Two Villages in Northern Hubei
The degree of modernization of rural governance is not only a matter of the implementation of Rural Revital-ization Strategy and the overall situation of rural grassroots governance,but also directly affects the process and effec-tiveness of national governance modernization.The collective action ability of farmers is an important indicator of rural governance modernization.From the perspective of constructivism,this study explores the generation mechanism and action logic of collective action among farmers in dynamic relationships.It is found that collective action among farmers is ultimately a practical situation.That is,the action promotes organizational participation of members based on com-mon interests in institutional,local,and event contexts,achieves consensus on action goals in different subject interac-tions.It is the process of establishing collaborative and cooperative relationships through public authority,social trust,social networks,etc.,and building a community of grassroots governance.
