Accelerating the construction of an international academic discourse system for education research is a con-crete expression of Chinese-style modernization in the field of education. It involves integrating Chinese educational wis-dom into the global academic discourse on education, aligning with the current era's mission and strategic imperatives to enhance autonomy in educational research. The modernization of Chinese-style education provides rich local resources for the establishment of international academic discourse and strongly supports the Chinese characteristics within the discourse. However, the discourse system and research of Chinese education still trail behind.Actively participating in constructing an international academic discourse system for education research has become an urgent need for deepening Chinese educational theory research and integrating it globally. The construction of an international academic discourse system for Chinese education researchis propelled by individual sentiments, academic competition, disciplinary competi-tion and the political needs of a powerful nation. There are various challenges, such as the knowledge reproduction mode with"experience annotations",the quantitative research habit of"using stones to attack stones",the academic and practical field with"structural heterogeneity",the theoretical innovation fallacy of"generality first",and the knowl-edge output limitations imposed by the"knowledge curse".The strategies for constructing an international academic discourse system for education research in the context of the modernization of Chinese education include enhancing the understanding of China's differentiated education issues, selecting appropriate research methods and orderly entry strat-egies,shortening the application chain between academics and practice, developing general, accurate, and concise inter-mediate theories, and engaging in dialogue with international mainstream research theories.
